Shaun Murray came by Nautique Headquarters this past week to pick up his brand new Nautique 230. Shaun was so excited that he came in early to help put the finishing touches on his boat and personally thanked every person that had a hand in building it.

“The amount of minds, hands and hearts involved in making the worlds best wakeboard boat is amazing and I want to make sure that everyone knows they are appreciated by the riders here at Nautique. I am so happy with my 230!” said Murray.

Nautique Crossover 226 2009

Nautique boats recently manufactured their 200,000th boat.   Nautique’s 200,000th boat produced was the Crossover Nautique 226.
Nautique boats have been producing boats for 84 years.  The celebration is a sign of the future of the waterskiing sport, demonstrating current market trends and the ‘cross-over’ from waterskiing to wakeboarding.

Rusty Surfwear have released customised a Nautique boat for the Rusty Wakeskate and Bake session.

The Nautique boat is decked out and matches their latest boardshorts.

50th Anniversary Masters Super Air Nautique 230

50th Anniversary Masters Super Air Nautique 230 Nautique will be selling customized Ski Nautique 196  and Super Air Nautique 230 models to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament. The boats will be used at the golden anniversary of the Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament, held at beautiful Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA. Nautique will build three one-of-a-kind 50th Anniversary Masters boats, comprising of two Ski Nautique 196 models and one Super Air Nautique 230 model.   Like the Byerly 210, I’m sure if there is enough interest in these boats Nautique will add them to production. BlackDiamond leaves Air Nautique Boats and signs with Malibu Boats Australia.

BlackDiamond wakeboard school which has been operated by Scotty Kell since 1996 on the shores of Australia has now signed with Malibu Boats Australia taking on the 2009 VLX Wakesetter.    BlackDiamond was previously well represented by Air Nautique and was pictured in many Australian wakeboarding competitions and magazines.

Surfing brand Billabong has teamed up Nautique Boats to produce the Billabond wrap boat for team riders Danny Harf and Shawn Watson.
Unlike other wraps Billabong has gone for simplicity in the outside wrap colors.  The interior is white with black and Billabong embroidery quite standard on todays boats.  We also give a thumps up to still maintaining the Nautique logo on the side of the boat.

The Billabong Super Air Nautique 220 is being given away through Enter-to-Win promotions.

After Nautiques’ recent Byerly Icon edition becoming available to purchase (which we are stoked about), I wouldn’t be surprised if the Billabong Nautique became a future Nautique option.   If that’s their plan, I’m not so sure that this wrap is as good as other wraps such as from; Mastercraft, Oakley, Nike 6.0, or even Nautique’s own Byerly’s Icon Edition.

The 8th Annual WakeWorld Riders choice results have been finalised and posted.

First things first, the Bonifay Boys did not make the 10 ten this year, as was Andrew Adkinson.  The top Male rider for 2008 goes to Rusty Malinoski, followed by Philip Soven
and bronze going to Randall Harris.

On the female front, the one and only Dallas Friday held number 1 – nothing can stop this girl, not even injuries.

Wakeboard of the year goes to the Liquid Force Watson.  Ronix One deservedly takes the silver, and Liquid Force Lyman taking bronze.

Boat of the year always seems to have the same contenders, Mastercraft’s X-Star yet again takes the boat of the year, followed by arch rival Malibu with the Malibu Wakesetter VLX,  and as per last year 3rd place was placed by Correct Craft, but this time the Nautique AIR 230 instead of AIR 210.
