Rusty wins 2008 Tigé Pro-Am
2008 Tigé Pro-Am Wakeboarding Championships June 20-22 staged at Blue Lake Park,using the Tigé 24Ve as the official towboat.
Mens final was won by Rusty Malinoski, this is Rusty’s third Tigé Pro-Am title.
Four of the top pro-am riders, Rusty, Andrew Adkison, Daniel Watkins and Aaron Rathy, along with two wild card riders were each given four chances to land the 1080 for $10,800. History was in the making, but none of the six riders succeeded in landing the trick.
Nicola Butler won her fifth consecutive contest after winning the Women’s Division.
Bryan Hutton, with a backside 360 onto a funbox to Backside 360 boardslide to 270 out won the Rockstar Energy Drink Best Trick Award, a $1,000 prize.
Tigé also premiered the exciting new 2009 Tigé line of multi-sport boats at the event. More images to come, be aware they have an ’illusion” tower.
